Online Exams Preparation Sessions Scams
January 15, 2025 by Dr. Mujeeb
Studying from outdated and error-ridden materials for your exam can be counterproductive and lead to confusion rather than clarity. These materials often require rote memorization rather clearing your concepts and helping in understanding the principles, hindering your ability to provide correct answers if the exam presents questions differently.
Beware of scammers who pose as medical professionals selling obsolete exam materials in old PDF files. They are actually non medical people targeting Shape 🎯 the innocent vulnerable physicians. Unfortunately lot of physicians become victims to these scammers on daily basis. Here’s how to spot/identify them:
1. They create multiple WhatsApp groups, targeting and pulling vulnerable physicians to their groups. Their aim isn’t to help the physicians but to sell their stuff to the vulnerable candidates.
2. They privately message you, initially quoting very high prices but then bargaining down to a low cost for their outdated PDF study materials.
3. They repeatedly message you with different WhatsApp numbers
4. They lack a formal website or platform, relying on old PDF files.
They change the names and dates of those files and pretending them to be the latest one.
5. They prevent group members from sharing legitimate exam preparation sources and remove anyone who does so as they want to sell their own exam materials.
6. They pretend to be doctors but lack medical knowledge, rarely explaining or participating in discussions in groups or they will get exposed.
7. Once they gather enough members in groups, they restrict group activity, pushing you to pay for their online sessions or ask you to leave if you do not show interest in their exam materials or online sessions.
8. They use different fake names within the same group to endorse themselves in order to impress vulnerable physicians and to compel them to buy their exam materials or take part in their paid online sessions.
Pay attention to their poor English and unprofessional behavior and their frustration if one is not showing interest in their business. Their behavior and tone doesn’t align with the conduct of genuine doctors.
Avoid these scammers, invest in your own exam preparation and do not let these scammers take a credit of your success and don’t let them advertise your success.
